Removing Walls to make Open Plan Room
Trying to come up with space is hard, especially as houses are being built on smaller blocks. What potentially was a good idea in the 70s and 80s doesn’t necessary fit our lifestyles now. Most stud internal walls are not load bearing, they are just there to create three smaller rooms from a perfectly good size room.
When removing walls, it creates a wow factor. Our clients who have done this, almost always say: " It’s the best thing we have done! "
People think its such a big job, when actually it is not.. everything is still in the same place ! this keeps the cost affordable and the dream achievable.
Removing walls as an alternative though, when your children ‘fly the nest’, why not make a full accessible bathroom from one of the bedrooms.
This not only means having space to bathe as you get older, it potentially means you can stay in your home for longer.
